The killing set off clashes with protesters in a city already shaken by another shooting death weeks earlier. China has emerged as one of the world's biggest film markets. Total box office last year grew more than 20 percent from the year before, reaching nearly 52 billion yuan. Imported animation blockbusters like "Avatar: 3" and "Zootopia 2" were among the top attractions. But China-made films still dominated domestic ticket sales, highlighted by the hugely-popular animated feature "Ne Zha 2" which was also a big draw in cinemas around the world.
