Results from the geographical constituencies of Sunday's District Council Elections gradually came in on Monday morning, after the polls were hit by a glitch in the electronic poll register system. Voting were extended by one-and-a-half hours to midnight as officials used printed copies of the register to issue ballot papers for the final hours of voting. The Chief Executive John Lee has ordered a task force to look into the glitch. Frank Yung reports:

176 other members in the District Committees constituencies have been elected by government-appointed members of three local bodies. As Cecil Wong reports, the DAB has come out as the big winners:

A public policy expert says he doesn't expect the glitch to affect the results of the polls, besides delaying the announcement of the winners. Professor Ho Lok-sang, Director of the Pan Sutong Shanghai-Hong Kong Economic Policy Research Institute at Lingnan University says the problem came relatively late in the day and shouldn't have affected the fairness of the elections. He spoke to Janice Wong:

A total of six people have been arrested in relation to the District Council polls. Sources said three of them are from the League of Social Democrats who allegedly tried to stage a protest in Central, while three others had allegedly incited others to cast invalid ballots or refrain from voting. All are being investigated by the ICAC, as Damon Pang reports:

Election officials say almost 1.2 million votes were cast in the races for the 88 directly-elected geographical constituency seats on Sunday -- representing 27.5 percent of the electorate. Top officials all cast their ballots early in the morning -- and encouraged voters to exercise their civic duty to do the same. Kelly Yu reports:

Nearly 200 elderly community centres across the SAR participated in a government scheme to make it easier for older voters to cast their ballots. Welfare minister Chris Sun said measures were in place to make sure the arrangements did not affect their decisions. Kelly Yu reports:
