15 years to redevelop Choi Hung Estate   Listenfacebook
The government has come up with an initial redevelopment plan for Choi Hung Estate. It will take 15 years to complete and will be carried out in three phases. The housing secretary also says the redeveloped estate will be able to accommodate 9,200 households, nearly 25 percent more than its current capacity. Natale Ching reports:

The Travel Industry Council says it is expecting Hong Kong to receive around 3.8 million incoming visitors this holiday season. The council's executive director, Fanny Yeung, said that accounted to around 60 percent of tourist numbers compared to pre-pandemic levels. She told Violet Wong that while the local travel sector was slowly picking up pace, it still had a long way to go before achieving full recovery:

The privacy watchdog has told online marketplace app operator Carousell to proactively monitor abnormal activities and do more to protect user data. The call comes after more than 320,000 Carousell users in the SAR had their data leaked last year. Anne Chan reports:

Public consulted over new global tax rule  Listenfacebook
The government has launched a three-month public consultation over how to implement a global minimum tax, which is set to come in from 2025. The public consultation ends on March 20 next year. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) drew up the international tax reform proposals. It wants to combat tax evasion and increase tax transparency by making large multinational firms pay a global minimum tax of at least 15 percent in every jurisdiction they operate. The co-chair of the tax policy committee at the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong, Anita Tsang, told Chloe Feng about the implications of the new rule and what major firms could expect when it comes into effect:

This year, the Operation Santa Claus charity is raising money for 16 charities, one of which will provide therapy sessions for ethnic minority or non-Chinese-speaking children with Special Educational Needs. It will also provide workshops for parents. Annemarie Evans went along to the Zubin's Family Centre at Austin MTR Station to talk to Dr Ravina Lalvina, a clinical psychologist and project manager with the Zubin Foundation, and Nepalese mum Urmila who comes to the centre for the therapy sessions with her young son:
