An investigation is under way into the cause of a fire at a residential building in Kennedy Town Sunday night. The body of an elderly man was found at the scene. As Jacqueline Guico reports, firefighters say the fire appears to be suspicious:

A nine-month old infant remains in critical condition in Tuen Mun hospital after allegedly being assaulted by a caregiver who has been arrested for child abuse. The baby is suffering from blood clots in her brain. As Elvis Yu reports, Secretary for Labour and Welfare Chris Sun says the government is extremely concerned about the incident:

The government has launched the Day and Night Vibes campaign, marking the start of a series of activities over the next few months to stimulate the local economy. Chief Secretary Eric Chan, who officiated at the opening ceremony, said the cooperation between the government, the business sector and the public had enabled the activities to be organised quickly. CLP Power says an investigation had found that two supply problems in Tsing Yi in the first week of January were separate, isolated cases involving “different power systems with different voltage levels”. China signs deal with Thailand to waive visa requirements  Listenfacebook
China and Thailand have agreed to waive visa requirements for each other's nationals to facilitate travel and tourism between the two countries. The deal is expected to be a major boost for tourism, especially in the Southeast Asian nation - to which Chinese visitors have been slow to return after Covid restrictions were eased. UK Post Office chairman 'sacked' following scandal  Listenfacebook
The Post Office in the UK has seen more than 700 sub-postmasters prosecuted between 1999 and 2015, after a faulty accounting software made it look as though money was missing from their shops. The Post Office chairman has now stepped down. RTHK's UK correspondent, Peter Anderson, told Janice Wong that there is frustation among the government with how the Post Office is run:

In the United States, a recent opinion poll indicates that Donald Trump leads his rival, Democratic President Joe Biden, by six percentage points. The presidential vote takes place in November and primaries are underway for Republican voters to choose their representative. Last week, former president Trump easily beat his sole remaining challenger, Nikki Haley in the New Hampshire primary - but she has not thrown in the towel just yet.
