DAB lawmaker Vincent Cheng says the operating hours of border checkpoints should be extended for all major holidays or large-scale events because the border crossing situation was so smooth over the Lunar New Year break. The tangerine tree is one of the plants that people buy to celebrate the Lunar New Year for good fortune. But as one green group reminds us, there are actually ways to recycle these trees after the festive period. The Environmental Association says the trees can act as habitats for butterflies,and its butterfly reserve in Tai Po has housed some 10,000 such trees in the past 12 years. The group's founder, Yau Wing-kwong, told Hailey Yip that people can also donate their trees to farms or even some schools across Hong Kong:

Prabowo Subianto has claimed victory in Indonesia’s presidential election based on unofficial tallies. The election has been billed as the world's largest single day election, with some 200 million voters involved across three time zones. Professor Hui Yew-Foong from Shue Yan University's sociology department, who specialises in Southeast Asia studies, told Ben Tse that Prabowo's victory is in line with analysts' expectation:

Pakistan's two main political parties have agreed to form a new coalition government to rule the country, after an election last week failed to produce a decisive winner. The coalition include the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and the Pakistan People’s Party. Together, they would have enough seats to command a majority in parliament. The move means the party of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan will not be in power, despite candidates affiliated with it getting the most votes. RTHK's South Asia correspondent, Murali Krishnan, told Kelly Yu more efforts are needed to make the coalition work:
