A tourism analyst says curbs on mainland visitors coming to Hong Kong should be gradually dropped. Kenneth Kwong from the Department of Marketing at Hang Seng University welcomed the inclusion of Qingdao and Xi'an to the Individual Visit Scheme but said he doubted there would be an immediate influx of visitors from those places. He said Hong Kong should create themes and attractions to give tourists a reason to come and spend money. He also told Janice Wong that the government could develop more business links with these cities to entice more business travellers:

The Consul General of Indonesia says Hong Kong and Jakarta should develop a two-way digital payment system. In an interview with RTHK, Yul Edison said this would enhance e-commerce and travel activities between the two sides. He said officials could take reference from a digital payment link recently developed by Hong Kong and Thailand. He told Chloe Feng that Indonesia had seen a boom in its digital economy in recent years and there were ample opportunities for Hong Kong firms to tap into Indonesia's fast-growing digital sectors:

Donald Trump seems to be bulldozing his way to winning the Republican nomination in the US. He has convincingly won the primary in South Carolina, the home state of his one remaining rival. Despite that, Nikki Haley is refusing to give up.
