After 30 tournaments, thousands of tries, millions of pints of beer and a lifetime of memories, the curtain has come down on decades of hosting the Hong Kong Sevens at the Hong Kong Stadium. The tournament moves to the Kai Tak Sports Park next year. But while the glistening new stadium takes shape across the harbour, fans from around the globe were desperate to enjoy one last party in the world-famous South Stand. Hailey Yip went along to meet some of them:

New Zealanders have been celebrating through the night after the country’s men's and women's teams claimed victory in the last edition of the Hong Kong Sevens at the Stadium. It is a repeat of last year’s double victory for the All Blacks. Steve Dunthorne looks at the action from the finals:

Hong Kong men's rugby team sensationally overcame regional powerhouses Japan to claim the inaugural Melrose Claymores contest at the Hong Kong Sevens on Sunday. But it did not go quite so well for the Hong Kong women's, who went down to China in their final. Natale Ching was watching:

Hugo Stiles from the Hong Kong Sevens team scored in the second half with a brilliant kick and chase, followed by a conversion. He says it was his dream to score in Hong Kong and for it to be realised on the last day of the Sevens at the stadium was a great finish. He spoke with Hailey Yip after their win over Japan:

The CEO of Hong Kong China Rugby, Robbie McRobbie, says hosting the Rugby Sevens at Kai Tak Sports Park next year will be a “watershed” for the city. McRobbie is standing down after this year's tournament and spoke to RTHK on the final day of the Sevens at the Stadium on Sunday. He said there had been a 'great buzz' this year, with more fans coming in from around the world compared to the last two post-Covid editions. He spoke to Hailey Yip:

There was a brisk trade for bars in Central over the Sevens weekend. Allan Zeman, chairman of the Lan Kwai Fong Group, described it as the best atmosphere he had seen at any Sevens weekend. He said business in their Central area was up almost a third, even compared to pre-pandemic times. He told Janice Wong that there would definitely be a shift in this business next year, with the popular sporting event moving across the harbour to Kowloon:

The government says less than half of the people involved in a trial pay-as-you-throw scheme have used the official green rubbish bags. The environment minister, Tse Chin-wan, says people have complained that it is hard to tie up the larger rubbish bags because they do not have handles. Anne Chan reports:

Chief Secretary Eric Chan has stressed the importance of the Northern Metropolis that is being developed, saying it will bring lots of benefits to Hong Kong in the long-term. He also said authorities were doing everything they could to push the project forward. Violet Wong reports:

Financial Secretary Paul Chan says the SAR government will maintain Hong Kong's status as an intellectual property trading hub by enhancing collaboration with the mainland. He noted that China was dedicated to promoting high-quality development with a focus on innovation. Anne Chan reports:

Premier Li Qiang has met US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen in Beijing, during her four-day visit to the mainland. It was her second visit there in nine months and comes days after Presidents Xi and Biden had a nearly two-hour phone call - their first direct talks since November. Yellen says relations between China and the US are on a more stable footing because they are able to have "tough" conversations. Violet Wong reports:
