The Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre says it has launched two new AI-based applications to warn people against cybersecurity threats, noting that the city's cybercrimes have been on the rise. The centre has handled more than 5,100 cybersecurity incidents in the first half of this year, up 36 percent from last year. Among them, more than 60 percent were phishing attacks with over 18,000 URLs involved. Alex Chan, the centre's spokesman and the general manager of the Productivity Council's digital transformation division, told Kelly Yu about the new initiatives:
