She pulled off an incredible comeback to silence a partisan home crowd that even included President Macron, who was there to cheer for her French opponent. There was much more action on the second day, with swimmer Siobhan Haughey and the mixed double table tennis team putting themselves in position to go for medals. France's high speed rail network is expected to be back to normal by Monday, after a co-ordinated attack on the infrastructure that occurred before the Olympics opening ceremony.
