The University of Hong Kong's medical school says it has developed the city's first AI-driven tool to predict cardiovascular diseases. According to the Centre for Health Protection, heart disease was the third most common cause of death last year, behind cancer and pneumonia. Todd Harding reports:

The government is launching its seasonal influenza vaccination programme this week. Eligible groups will receive a full or partial subsidy when they go for a jab. There are media reports that the US Commerce Department is going to suggest prohibiting Chinese software and hardware in connected and autonomous vehicles on American roads. In other words, rather than just impose a 100 percent tariff on Chinese EVs, they could instead be banned. The high-end London department store, Harrods, has apologised over allegations that its former owner, Mohamed Al Fayed, raped and sexually assaulted several female employees. The Egyptian billionaire died last year at the age of 94. Lawyers representing the victims says Harrods has full culpability for the abuse and labelled Al Fayed a ‘monster.’ RTHK's UK correspondent Gavin Grey told Raymond Yeung that some 150 people had come forward to make claims:

Hezbollah and Israel appear to be spiralling closer to an all-out war. On Sunday, Hezbollah fired over 100 rockets across northern Israel, as Israel launched hundreds of strikes on Lebanon. A Hezbollah leader declared an “open-ended battle” was underway. The rocket barrage was in response to Israeli attacks in Lebanon that killed dozens, including a veteran Hezbollah commander, and an unprecedented attack on the group’s communications devices.
