Two former editors of the defunct online news outlet, Stand News, have been sentenced to jail for conspiring to publish seditious content. Editor-in-chief Chung Pui-kuen will serve 21 months while chief editor Patrick Lam was able to walk free, despite the judge initially considering a 14-month term for him. Frank Yung reports:

Two giant pandas arrived in Hong Kong on Thursday morning after a two-hour flight from Chengdu. As Natale Ching reports, senior officials were on the airport tarmac to welcome the pair:

From the airport, the pandas were escorted by police to their new habitat, Ocean Park. The park has given assurances that it has the manpower and resources to handle the two new arrivals. Experts in Sichuan say the two pandas may be able to start reproducing next year after they have settled down at Ocean Park. But Suzanne Gendron, a former executive director of zoological operations, says the pair are only five-years-old and may take some time to reach sexual maturity. Employers should provide more assistance towards employees with dementia, according to the Equal Opportunities Commission. The watchdog published a guide to support these employees at work with the aim of fostering an inclusive workplace culture in Hong Kong. Doris Tsui, who heads the commission's policy, research and training committee, said many dementia patients could continue working with the help of colleagues and the employer. The Bird Watching Society says almost 300 birds have crashed into the glass exteriors of buildings as they cannot see the transparent material. In its yearly report, the society said some of the birds involved belonged to endangered species. A Japanese court has acquitted the world's longest-serving death row prisoner in a retrial, more than half a century after his murder conviction, saying evidence had been fabricated. The 88-year-old former boxer was not in court to hear the verdict due to ill health. He was released in 2014 when a retrial was granted. But a pushback by prosecutors meant the retrial only began last year. Natale Ching reports:
